Northern Marine Management (Deutschland) GmbH was established in Kiel, Germany in 2004 to manage the first KG financed VLCC operated by Gulf Marine Management on behalf of Saudi Pacific Star (SPS).

In 2006 the office was moved to Hamburg from where it operates today. The KG managed fleet grew to nine VLCC’s by 2007. In 2009 the management of all GMM vessels was transferred to NMM(D) in Hamburg.

On 1st January 2011 the company name was changed to GULF MARINE MANAGEMENT (DEUTSCHLAND) GmbH & Co. KG, a name which better reflects the company’s ownership within the GMM group of companies.

Gulf Marine Management (Deutschland) presently provides full Operational, Technical and Personnel management services to the entire VLCC fleet operated by Gulf Marine Management under the Saudi Pacific Star banner. Further new building VLCC deliveries are foreseen to enter management during 2011.

GMM(D) works closely with Gulf Marine Management (GMM) in Athens who perform the Commercial Management of the Pacific Star Fleet and St. James Chartering (SJC) in London who exclusively handle the chartering activities for Pacific Star.
